Since graduating from University College London, Leila has worked on broadcast documentaries, promotional videos for charities and artists, as well as creating short films. With experience in documentary production, research and editing she is always in search of a new challenge and time to spend beside the sea.

In 2012 Leila completed a Master's degree in Documentary Film at the London College of Communication (University of the Arts London) after receiving a Block Grant Partnership scholarship awarded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Her graduation film Halfway At Sea was shortlisted for a Grierson Award in 2013.
